👉 This season: NO 3rd place matches
Because let’s be honest…
loser vs loser… who actually wants to be part of that?
Instead, 3rd place prizemoney will be split between the semi final losers
(aka the almost-winners).
📋 Player Contact Lists
Grouped contact lists will be shared here shortly by Division and Group.
A master contacts list will also be emailed as a PDF — flag any errors if you spot them.

🎾 Match Format – ALL matches
Best of 2 tiebreak sets + Super Tiebreak
If 1 set all → Super TB to 10, win by 2
🧾 Using Challonge (important)
Super tiebreak entered as 1–0 in the third set, not 10–8
Do not enter tiebreak point scores — it counts as a game
Double-check scores before submitting… then double check again
On mobile, if it seems broken, scroll right — you’ve probably added a stack of invisible sets
Stuff it up? Message me — I can fix it
🔥 THEME OF THE SEASON: MATCHES MATCHES MATCHES
There are potentially 418 competitive CHH singles matches happening over the next few months.
That is huge.
So here’s the plan:
7–8 round robin matches in 8 weeks
Then we keep the foot down
4 finals rounds in 3 weeks
And we finish on time… right?
RIGHT?
Right.
⚠️ “Bye Round” Message on Challonge
You may see this in a round header:
Bye Round (Fit in before RR deadline)
This does not mean you have a week off.
Because of odd-number groups, there are in fact no bye weeks.
You should still have a match every week.
That extra round simply gets snuck in across the 8-week round robin window.
👦 Juniors Stuff – Read Carefully
All juniors (<15) have been vetted and invited via the waiting list process.
📖 UPDATED Juniors Policy – Compulsory Reading
👉 https://www.heavyhitters.com.au/juniors
If you have not read it in the past 3 months, read it again.
Adults are expected to set the standard.
“The junior acted like a child, so I did too” is not an acceptable excuse for ignoring the Juniors Policy.
I expect more from adult opponents.
📚 Rules & Regulations Update
The CHH Rules & Regulations will be moving to a new blog section on the Heavy Hitters website over the next week.
Goal:
👉 Easier to navigate
👉 Easier to understand
👉 Less “I didn’t know”
⏳ Shout-Out Grace Period
Use it properly:
1️⃣ Contact your scheduled opponent first
2️⃣ Then your next scheduled opponent
3️⃣ Only then post a shout-out in the group
That keeps things fair and avoids chaos.
🧠 Admin Reminders
No ghosting — reply within 48 hours
No line-call debates
No ball-mark inspections
If scheduling is getting hard, tell me mid-league — not in Week 7

💬 Lastly…
95 players.
10 years in.
Still growing.
This thing only works because of how you all behave within it.
Play fair. Communicate early. Hit heavy.
🍁 Leaf it all on the court 🍁
